A Book on Gönen is Prepared by the History, Culture and Art Studies Application and Research Center

Our University History, Culture and Art Studies Application and Research Center (TAKSAM) has launched another book study on the history of the region. Based on the documents available in the City Archive created by the center, Under the editorship of Center Director Prof. Dr. Zekai Mete, a team consisting of Associate Professor Doctor Kurtuluş Demirkol, Assistant Professor Doctor Cengiz Şeker, and Assistant Professor Doctor Engin Çağman from the Department of Economics started a book on "Erdek in Ottoman Archive Documents" a while ago. Now again Under the editorship of Prof. Dr. Zekai Mete, a team consisting of Kadir Purde, Safa Furkan Karacakaya, and Uğur Belen, who are research assistants of the History Department, started a new book titled "Gönen in Ottoman Archive Documents". TAKSAM continues its research on the history, culture, and art of the districts where Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University campuses are located or neighboring them, and new publication activities will be brought to the agenda in these regions in the near future.
