SS Kurtuluş commemoration event was held with the participation of Maritime Faculty.

"The Kurtuluş Ship, which sank on February 20, 1942 by colliding with the Cape of Domuz near Marmara Island Saraylar region with its humanitarian food aid load, was commemorated with the cooperation of Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University Maritime Faculty, Marmara Islands Municipality, Marmara Islands District Governorate and Kızılay."
