Appointed as Dean of our Faculty, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman ÖZDEMİR Started His Duty.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Prof. Süleyman Özdemir was appointed as the Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, which was recently established at our university. Dr. Abdurrahman Özdemir was appointed. Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman OZDEMIR

Born in 1969 in Karabük Safranbolu, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Özdemir completed his primary and secondary education in Karabük, and his higher education in 1991 at Ankara University, Faculty of Theology. He completed his master's degree in 1995 and his doctorate in 2000 within the framework of his graduate education, which he started in 1992 at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Social Sciences Institute. He worked as a lecturer until 2001 and as an assistant professor until 2008 at Gazi University Çorum Faculty of Theology, where he started working since 1994. He became Associate Professor in the field of Arabic Language and Rhetoric in 2008. He was appointed as a professor in 2013 at the Faculty of Theology of Istanbul University, where he was appointed as of 2009. He worked as the dean and vice-rector at Yalova University Faculty of Islamic Sciences between 2014-2016, and at Cyprus Social Sciences University Faculty of Islamic Sciences between 2018-2020.
prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Özdemir has books, book chapters, articles and symposium papers in the field of Arabic Language and Rhetoric, and besides his field, he is closely related to disciplines such as Quran Recitation, Old Turkish Literature, Prosody, Classical Turkish Music.

Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Özdemir is married and has two children.
