One of our department professors, Dr. Instructor Member Feride İMRANA ALTUN's article titled "Kapadokya Bölgesi Kaya Kiliselerinde Azize Paraskevi ve Azize Kyriaki Resimleri" has been Published

He takes part in the painting programs of St. Paraskevi and St. Kyriaki in the rock churches of the Apadocia Region. They are depicted alone or together in the churches of Goreme Dark, Kiliclar Kushluk Meryemana, Ihlara Sümbüllü, Soğanlı Azize Barbara, Gülşehir Karşı, Erdemli H. Eustathios. Azize Paraskevi is depicted in nun clothes wearing a maphorion on the stikharion, while Azize Kyriaki is depicted wearing a highly decorated maphorion on the stikharion, sometimes with a phakilion on her head. The name of St. Paraskevi means Friday and symbolizes the day Jesus died, while the name of St. Kyriaki means Sunday and represents the day of the resurrection of Jesus. In the study, the depictions of St. Paraskevi and St. Kyriaki in the rock churches of Cappadocia were emphasized. The full text of the study is attached.
